The summer of 2015 gave us a lot of back to back divorces by celebrities; there was Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Christina Aguilera and Gavin Rossdale, Reba McEntire split from her husband, and Blake Shelton’s marriage to Miranda Lambert came to an end. There were also some marriages though, most notably Jennifer Aniston and her longtime boyfriend Justin Theroux. With all of these weddings and divorces, it makes you wonder which celebrity couples have staying power, and which ones will eventually be single again.
A list of the most likely celebrity couples that won’t last includes some interesting choices; they are:
- Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. We already saw Kim’s marriage to Kris Humphries end in divorce just 72 days after the pair said “I do”, and Kim is also divorced from Damon Thomas. This history puts a huge target on Kardashian’s back, and the jury of public opinion is that her marriage to Kanye won’t last either.
- Recently married Aniston and Theroux are also on the list of celebrities least likely to make their marriage last, and their inclusion on this list can best be chalked up to Aniston’s previous relationships.
- J. Lo and Casper Smart seem an unlikely match, given the difference in age and career positon. Smart is a backup dancer for the singer, and her history in this area is not good. Back in 2002 Lopez divorced another one of her backup dancers, Cris Judd, after just under a year of marriage.
- Katy Perry and John Mayer land on the list for obvious reasons. Mayer has seen his fair share of Hollywood romances fizzle, and so his time with Perry will probably be short.
