Parents in child custody cases must create a Parenting Plan, or custody agreement, and submit it to the court.
In cases of Arizona child custody, each parents is required to submit a Parenting Plan, to the court with details on how each individual will continue to care for the child after the separation. In the ideal case, the parents will create the Parenting Plan together and then submit the plan to the court. In other cases, however, parents can go to custody court where the judge will make the decisions about the terms of the plan. Additionally, physical custody of the child must be decided as to where the child will live.
