Answer:

AZ law requires an “equitable division” of the community assets and liabilities. The debts are basically as much yours as they are his.

The fact that he makes twice as much as you does not make him any more responsible for the debts than you.

On the other hand, you might want to discuss the possibility of spousal maintenance with an attorney.
